Nanami from JJK
Description:
Nanami is a standout character in Jujutsu Kaisen and one of the best side characters in the manga. His devotion to duty, analytical mind, and sympathetic nature make him an essential part of the story. Nanami stands out for his unique personality and story arc compared to other side characters.
Here are some of the most notable moments from the Jujutsu Kaisen manga that define Nanami Kento's character:
Introduction: Nanami is first introduced in Chapter 8 of the manga as a cold, no-nonsense second-grade sorcerer. He is seen analyzing the situation with his keen eye and using his skills to ensure the safety of the civilians.
Coffee Scene: In Chapter 11, Nanami is seen drinking coffee and telling Itadori Yuji about his philosophy of life, where he states that everyone is born with a certain amount of time, and it is up to them to use it efficiently. This scene reveals Nanami's practical and efficient personality.
Battle Against Mahito: In Chapter 33, Nanami fights Mahito, a cursed spirit who has the power to manipulate souls. In this battle, Nanami shows his analytical skills and uses his powers to defeat Mahito by cutting him into tiny pieces.
Encounter with Takada-chan: In Chapter 49, Nanami encounters a girl named Takada-chan, who is being targeted by a cursed spirit. Nanami puts himself in danger to protect her, and his actions show his compassionate side.
Confrontation with Sukuna: In Chapter 130, Nanami faces Sukuna, one of the most powerful cursed spirits in the Jujutsu Kaisen universe. Despite being aware of Sukuna's strength, Nanami does not back down and fights him to protect the others.
The impact of Nanami's death on Itadori Yuji, the MC:
Nanami's death served as a wake-up call for Yuji, as it made him realize the severity of their situation. Until that point, Yuji had been somewhat carefree, and he had not fully grasped the gravity of their situation. However, after seeing Nanami die, Yuji becomes more determined to become stronger and protect his friends and allies.
Nanami's death also had a profound emotional impact on Yuji. Yuji was devastated by Nanami's death and felt guilty that he could not save him. This guilt and grief motivated Yuji to become stronger and fight harder against the curses and cursed spirits.
These moments showcase Nanami Kento's dedication to his duty, analytical mind, practical approach to life, compassion for others, and bravery in the face of danger. These defining moments make Nanami one of the most memorable and well-liked characters in Jujutsu Kaisen.

Third Fight
Kisuke Urahara
vs
Gojo Satoru
Satoru Gojo
Satoru Gojo is from the series Jujutsu Kaisen. He is the teacher of our protagonists. By far one of the best characters to grace us in recent times.
Top tier design - check
With a height of 190 cm, Gojo towers over most people in the JJK world. He is considered to be extremely attractive which is shown multiple times in the manga as well
He has snow-white hair and the Six Eyes, which are a vibrant blue color.
Satoru normally covers his eyes with a black blindfold which props up his hair and gives it a spikier appearance. When sporting a more casual look, Gojo will wear sunglasses and let his hair down to reach the base of his neck.
Gojo is a complex individual. He is normally seen to be nonchalant and playful towards his students, close colleagues, and friends. However, he is unsympathetic and cruel towards sorcerer executives, an example being his blatant disrespect towards Principal Gakuganji, and his enemies.
Gojo is extremely confident in his abilities and reputation as a powerful sorcerer, believing himself to be invincible. His opinion of others often only go as far as his judgement of their strength, and he is quite apathetic towards anyone he deems weak. Additionally, greatly influenced by his own desire for power, he is very arrogant. He is convinced that he is the strongest in the world, which he is, claiming, during his fight with Toji Fushiguro, that "throughout the Heavens and earth, he alone is the honored one."
During intense battles, Gojo is seen to occasionally fall into a frenzied fighting state, urged by his determination for victory and undeniable proof that he alone is the strongest. His combative style is characterized by his aggressive and domineering attacks, while flaunting his mastered techniques to his opponents. Furthermore, in a crisis, he is capable of being cold-blooded. He will prioritize his enemies' destruction over saving innocent people when he believes that the sacrifice is unavoidable. However, this only extends to the people killed by his opponent; he will not do any lasting harm to or kill anyone innocent to gain the upper hand.
Nevertheless, despite his haughtiness and strength, Gojo is more human than he first appears. After defeating Toji, Gojo retrieved Riko's corpse with a sorrowful look, showing that albeit his recent conceited victory temporarily clouding his feelings, he still felt some grief over her death. He sought to kill the Star Religious members that were laughing over Riko's death, though was stopped by Suguru Geto -- who he relied on as a moral compass at that time -- before taking any action. Furthermore, Satoru was later left visibly horrified and panicked after learning that Suguru, his one and only best friend, had become a murderous curse user. Satoru attempted to reason with his friend, but eventually realized and accepted that he lost the one person he truly saw as an equal. After having to put an end to Suguru before more calamity arose, it was Satoru's trauma over losing his best friend that caused his ultimate downfall in Shibuya.
His goal:
To reform the Jujutsu world
Let's first examine what he sees wrong with it, it's not that he's not the one in charge or anything selfish like that
People mistake this statement as Gojo saying that if he kills the higher ups some other people would take their jobs since Gojo always has the option to kill those people as well, to make the world obey him by force BUT if he does that than eventually the system would remain the same, eventually there will again be selfish rulers controlling the world.
See in JJK, Gege has basically tied a philosophy to every character to try and actually explain things in his story and for Gojo he has written a man who doesn't believe in revolution because he doesn't think that is the right and effective way to create permanent change
This idea that you can only save someone if they are prepared to change is exactly what makes Gojo an ideal teacher, he believes in changing his students because he believes the only ones that can be saved(improved) are the ones who are actually willing to do so and are open to the idea and that is what a student is ideally supposed to be
He has shown to actually breakdown and process what he's students are going through to help them improve.
And while the idea of Gojo being a self centered man is not completely baseless
This is from when he's just going through different phases of his life.
But now he actually wants his students to surpass him
He is easily one of the best written characters in the verse with a reasonable and complex philosophy and the most interesting part is that he needs this philosophy less than anyone! Typically people resort to these view points of changing the world by teaching because they believe that they are powerless on their own and need others for help but Gojo's character is trying to show that even if you weren't powerless on your own spreading your views into the future generations is the best way to create change.

Fourth Fight
Uncle Iroh from Avatar: The Legend of Aang
vs
Medusa from Soul Eater
Fifth Fight
Ulquiorra Cifer
Espada Cuatro and easily one of Ichigo's most memorable opponents. As one of Aizen's top subordinates, he's obviously not the main villain but his bout with Ichigo is well-regarded as one of Bleach's best. A recurring theme with Ulqiorra in the fight with Ichigo is him attempting to induce despair in his opponents, "I will show you true despair, Kurosaki Ichigo."
He shows limited feelings (atleast in regards to empathy) though he's incredibly curious about the rationale behind human being's actions and their emotions (their hearts). His nihilism and general aesthetic made for both a compelling character and a fitting design. He wields MurciΓ©lago, a black katana that he can release twice which is unique to him but aside from ability-wise, his uniqueness among his group adds to Ichigo's encounter with him.
His relationship with Otohime definitely left both for the better as characters with Ulquiorra being perplexed at her emotions and Ichigo's drive to save her and her being compassionate even to him. I'd rather not spoil but it was very satisfying to watch for me.
What is a heart? If I open up your chest, will I see it? If I crack open your skull, will I find it there?
His battle with Ichigo was very essential in us getting a look into Ulqiorra's beliefs and motivations with him putting aside his mission a bit in order to really see what drives Ichigo to such lengths and in order to completely crush his will and show him, in his own words, true despair.
The Espada didn't have the same personal goals that the Shinigami during the Soul Society had but I think that was mostly to differentiate them and within the confines of being under Aizen, Ulqiorra shows quite a bit of his own personal motivations for seeing how far Ichigo can be pushed before he breaks and proving his efforts are in vain.
Those who know despair once knew hope, those who know loss, once knew love.
Essentially, very cool and impactful character. Easily my favourite from Bleach and added to my enjoyment of the arcs he was in and my enjoyment of the series as a whole. Some may view him as edgy or whatever but I think his apathy made sense given he's literally an Arrancar who's particularly the "nothingness" aspect of death.
