JJK 215 Spoilers

Why do you think she's overrated?
Whenever she appears she just measures her metaphorical dick which in return ends up with her fans comparing her to god himself. Hell, even the author "wanks" her and her only sole reason to exist is to be a strong female character capable of fighting with the top dogs.

Edit: forgot to mention the fact that she is """"badass""""

I admit I am big fan of strong female characters that are powerful without cute/girly gimmicks like Hancock.

That's fine, and I also like them when done properly. As a matter of fact, I was a very big fan of big mom before Oda cucked her. But I dislike when the authors try to shove strong, badass female characters down my throat like it's something remarkable.

They are on copium lol

And its fine when characters are male? Lol

My problem with Maki started during the Zenin massacre arc, and it just built on that during the Naoya fight.

Her moment with Mai was nice and everything, but their relstionship with each other and with the Zenin clan should have been explored in a 1-2 chapter flashback arc. Or an arc where they're prisoners before their execution and we see how the different clan members behave towards them and other women in the clan.

However, Gege was at his worst during that short arc, as far as his health goes so I'll scrath it to that being the reason.

Then we get the Naoya Curse fight. Maki is bland, and you could make the case it's because of Mai's death etc. But Gege goes so hard on making her Tojette instead of Maki that it's really hard to care or root for her. 2 characters (read "plot devices") are shoehorned into this arc so that she could "figure something out" and become a complete Tojizabeth. Minus the leeching off of partners, but maybe we'll get that EOS.

Her character could've been explored in a great manner had the arc not introduced her two personal trainers. Curse Naoya was enough of an opportunity to give Maki some sorely needed development and make her into her own thing.

Yes bro. We only like female characters who are weak sauce
Bro would rather Maki be a damsel in distress getting packed by Sukuna and outclassed by Yuji. :risicheck:
Y'all both capping lmao. I respect a strong woman as long as she has something more going for her than strength and as long as they don't shove it down my throat. Y'all even know how to read? I literally said I really liked Big Mom before Oda cucked her and Big Mom is by no means a damsel in distress or a weak sauce. I swear to god this Maki stans don't even know how to properly read.

There you go dum dums 🤡
If y'all need another example, Android 18 also works but I highly doubt that you'd understand this part.

Would you rather Maki not help Yuji fight Sukuna at all? She was there, it made sense, and no she’s not only there to be strong and kick ass. Have you forgotten a few chapters ago she was the one coordinating all the stuff for point transferring?

Nothing was also shoved down one’s throat this chapter. Both Sukuna and Maki got equal amounts of respect and combat portrayal. They are top tiers of JJK. If anything you should be mad that Yuji is being mocked and sided again after having such a phenomenal chapter last.

You tripping, Perfect Preparation was peak. Relationship with Zenin clan was already DONE back in Goodwill and in Zero. We didn’t need to be shown that again.

Sakurajima was also peak. The only bad thing was that Kamo’s development got cut short. But we got more Maki development which was the point of it all in the first place so not much harm done. Zen buddhism themes and all that shit when it came to her development. There’s a great post on reddit explaining the arc process, it adheres more to Nirvana vs Samsara as opposed to our preconceived Western notions of storytelling.

"You're tripping because you don't agree with me"

Tojette is bland, deal with it:kayneshrug:
