And who is it that understands gods teachings?

Considering all the different religions and different denominations that are mutually exclusive, i think its safe to say that no one actually does, if god even is real

The Bible doesn’t just exist as a storybook. It teaches valuable things. Just because you may disagree with it doesn’t mean it can’t be true.

Who is it that understands God’s teachings? What do you mean? The only teachings that we can really read are in the Bible, right? We’re told to love one another, right? These things aren’t just said to please people. They’re said because they’re genuine words.

I like that it teaches people to be kind, for example. That’s an important thing that everyone should learn, don’t you think?

I suppose there doesn’t seem to currently be a way to prove God exists to everyone in the world, but I think not being able to see him is like a test. A lot of people say “I’ll believe it when I see it”, but if you can’t see it then what do you do?

Well, the same goes for all other Gods that humanity has worshipped for hundreds of years. You have to choose which one to follow, if you choose to follow one at all.

We were given a free will since the very beginning. You could say that humans as a whole are the reason for any kind of evil or bad thoughts existing. Whether or not you think the Bible is true doesn’t matter in this instance, because we humans prove that we’re the problem every day. Hate, murder, stealing, deceit, etc.

Ugh… pathetic. Just thinking about how run down our world is just ends up making me depressed.

Don’t confuse the ones who understand God’s teachings with the ones that don’t. We are only human. We are not without fault.

Over the course of generations we have been taught by our parents what they heard from their parents and how they perceived His teachings. Overtime, our society has adapted certain ways of thinking.

People may seek to harm the accused mentally and physically and overlook what God really meant.

The Bible would be a lot bigger if it specifically explained everything that we question, so it’s up to us to read and think about what God would say for ourselves.

Religions are ideas.Ideas don't do anything by themselves.Ideas can't shoot you,people can.If people do evil because of stupid ideas,its the ideas that are at fault.Its people that lack good judgment.

Keep in mind that the Bible‘s texts are thousands of years old, so practices that were common back then are probably not so common now. Sacrifices, for example, aren’t being done in most parts of the world anymore if at all.

Historical context matters,God commanded the tribes that followed him to kill those tha opposed God's teachings so that their immorality wouldn't spread.I know this sounds absurd to the secular mindset,but back in the day it wasn't.Anyway,Christians follow the new testament.We are not supposed to go killing over religion,but yeah it did happen because people fuck up.
