Honestly i had absolutely 0% hope that this arc will have any tension with Oda trying to hint at another Ohara 2.0 but this being the introductory arc of a Gorosei member kinda gives me some hope that Goofy and co catch an L even if it's small.

There's plenty wrong with Oda's MO over the past decade but too often guys here seem to mistake their lack of investment for lack of tension and decide the only way to fix the story is for Oda to turn it into Berserk. He's writing tension in this arc fine, the problem is he has to make you care about the characters, primary and secondary, again.
