Hope she's enjoying Kuma's life story while everyone is getting murdered.

Was rereading the arc and forgot that she mentions the incident with Sabo at Mariejoise and probably has ties to the revolutionary army

Problem with Bonney is that her plot feels too disconnected from the rest of the arc in spite of the fact Kuma is tied to Vegapunk.

Kuma can be the reason devil fruit happened in the first place. It tied to the plot and void century so much. Imagine the previous user of kuma fruit. Can just push out people dream and imagination to create a devil fruit.

It's just that her backstory, or rather her father's backstory, is the same shit we've had since Amazon Lily.
It was interesting back then, as it really emphasized that the CDs are irredeemable scum bags who should all die, but now it's just getting old.

Yep. Exactly this. It's crazy how Oda has regressed in terms of female companion characters. Vivi was way weaker than Bonney, but fit in so much better with the crew and story.

vivi is the most overrated character in one piece to me. literally just a random villain that got made more important because of editors and marketing. was never planned to be important. the original yamato except she actually joined
