Yeah i expected Oda to actually write something interesting, but instead he went with the dumbest, most non-sensical route possible.

The Ktop sound implied it was a woman, a gun implied it was some character that actually would use a gun.

But no, it was a random ass Vegapunk that was already turned to stone, that wants to be a Celestial Dragon. Literally pure RNG, might aswell make it Sentomaru because he wanted to be a Yonko, it makes as much sense.
Well, Stussy wouldn't use a gun, so it was already not pointing to her. She would have been the least interesting one imo, since she was just revealed as a double agent 4 chapters ago. My favorite idea was @CarrotForNakama 's theory of s flamingo being behind it and the seraphim rebelling on their own, but alas, it is the literal human toilet instead:josad:

There is no RNG here. It's surprising all right but not random.

Vegapunk splitted his personnality but he misscalculated some of the parameters. Don't forget that York is the greedy one. her wanting to be more than just a poop tool, is thematical coherent.

Now let's wait for the actual motivation to spit on Oda like you guys on WG seems to like doing.

This possibility is still probable. But that was just one of the option.

Oda must play Cluedo and the end of the clues gathered he states it was Sonic with a boomerang on the moon.

The man systematically eliminated possible suspects by turning them to stone or exploding them or whatever else and then just runs around and says jk, this one is actually fine and the traitor.

Might aswell say it was Shaka and he shot an hologram of himself.

I'm down for any nakama at this point, fucking Bellamy is going to join, because Oda writes purely arbitarly.

:laughmoji:

For everyone that likes Stussy: I have nothing against Stussy. In my opinion she is even a great character because she is not that seemingly weak female charcter that needs to be safed - which we have often depicted enough in media. I really see her as the strong woman that can withstand problems on her own.

I only say she is a traitor because plot-wise her action is in my eyes very suspicious: She made the situation on Egghead worse by letting Akainu be informed that the SHP were on Egghead. Akainu then enforced measures to prepare for the new situation (And now we are having 100 battle ships heading towards Egghead.). She would not call Akainu just because she is playing her role and is otherwise revealed to be a traitor or spy of Vegapunk. She could have played her role without informing Akainu very well - THAT is, why she is so suspicious to me.

If I offend you Stussy fans - I am truely sorry. But as of now, I am just analysing plot-wise. Be lenient with me.
In all fairness, she was likely trying to stop the WGs attack on egghead when she told them to contact the navy. Hoping that the WG would prefer to keep peace and push back their plan to kill Vegapunk.

.

And Lilith is evil and Atlas is violence, those two would work aswell, greed doesn't necessarly translate into wanting to "be a Celestial Dragon therefore i kill people", she could have wanted jewels or food like a Nami/luffy thing and it works fine.

Lilith fits 10x times better by that metric, and York was already down for the count.

This was just stupid writing

Not really no. Don't forget that this is a vegapunk clone. In that case, Greed is the quest for power.

LIlith being a traitor would be just bland. Here, its more researched, much more subtil.
Again, its thematically coherent.

This was just stupid writing
No. Again, careful with your expectations.

No dude, you can't just go, Lilith is bland but York is good, it doesn't work like that, they all represent negative traits and they all were down for the count.

This was shit, noone though it was York, noone considered it was York because it's not even interesting and noone is satisfied that it even is York.

It fails at all levels as any sort of murder mystery.

Yes I can. For lilith it would be bland from a writing point of view. Lilith expresses her evil side already, this wouldn't add anything to the lore. But in that case it does.

For you maybe don't talk for everyone. And I considered York until she was frozen into stone.

No lol.
