I don't think you understand the idea of missdirection
:yodaswag: :emohiyo: Oh really ?

York got petrified the only people she's "tricking" is Ussop, Franky, etc..
Yeah.. the point.

Your allusion to "all of the SH hence the missdirection" makes no sense, she didn't missdirect all of the SH, she appeared to get defeated in front of 2 SHs which never even suspected her.
Didn't say that.

She could have just went off on her own like Shaka or Pythagoras
To raise eyebrow? Sure.

it's the retarded idea of wanting to be a celestial dragon.
For you maybe, imagine a corrupt scientist whose only desire is to research and build, well.. being a celestial Dragon is the ultimate goal in that world.

And we know Vegapunk has this tiny bit of ego in him. So York desiring that that is logical.

Yeah you don’t understand subversion! Right @Mr. Reloaded

Yeah but why did York want to trick just Ussop and Franky what does she gain? And risk being seen being unpetrified?

Why is it suspicious for her to go alone, when Shaka and Pythagoras did that?

And the major question, how did she know to get unpetrified to go shoot shaka.

Someone enlighten me

:smart:

I’m joking bud lmao
Yeah I figured :milaugh:

of all the people, saying that "I" am the one not understanding missdirection..

Yeah but why did York want to trick just Ussop and Franky what does she gain?
Clearness.
And I don't think I was specifically aimed at specific strawhats, she may just have given the order to do that once she was with a team.

how did she know to get unpetrified to go shoot shaka.
She probably needed to be alone, that was the best way to do that.

It's for oda to misdirect us
GODA :whitepress:

Yeah you still haven't explained the reason why, you keep ignoring that Pythagoras and Shaka went alone and NOONE cared.

She probably needed to be alone, that was the best way to do that.

Bro again, how did she know to tell S-Snake to unpetrify her? How did she know to get to Shaka to shoot him?

She either told S-snake to petrify her and un-petrify and coincidentally got to shaka in time to shoot him or she knew somehow Shaka was going to vegapunk (which is also impossible) and told S-snake to petrify/unpetrify her in front of the SHs.

You are not wrong, but again, in the case of those two, they clearly stated what they were doing.
But you are cheery picking here. The storyline is more axed around the surprise to the spectator rather than the character. The character are not in a murder mystery, they are in a research party.

So your question is noted but is quite irrelevant in that context. We just don't know her motivation, so debating on that without those informations is baseless.

Bro again, how did she know to tell S-Snake to unpetrify her?
Maybe she asked her to do just that ?? :kayneshrug:

How did she know to get to Shaka to shoot him?
Again.. question that are irrelevant right now. You will know more about taht in the next chapters.

We .. just .. don't .. know.

Wait until those information are revealed to spit out your hate.

You keep missintepreting what i'm saying lol, i asked "how did she know to tell S-Snake to unpetrify her? " in the context of getting to Shaka in time, and you reply with "she just told her", lol what?

This ain't that complicated, if you can't find a reasonable way as to how York knew to do that petrified theatre to reach Shaka in time or why she would even do that, without going into mental gymnastics, then it's just bad writing.

It's not hate, it's jsut common sense lol

Because your question is backward.

She probably didn't know that Shaka was coming. She just happen to encounter him most likely. And she probably told S snake what to do before hand to get alone. You are looking really to much into this. The answer of your questions are just "we don't know"

No, that's just bad questionning. Your question have nothing to do with the actual revelation and plot twist. You are just searching for a way to hate that plot because you most probably wanted something else. So you try to deconstruct it. But it work either way.

The answer are not here right now, so.. wait for the next chapter.

When 90% of your answers are "wait for next chapter" and you think i'm the one deconstructing this to hate the plot.

I'm saying York didn't make sense, if you're unable to read criticism without being a contrarian i don't know what else to tell you.

You are not criticizing the choice of York, you are criticizing the way she came to the labo. Nuance.

Like I said, the petrification of York and her shooting Shaka can be explained in different manner (Ex: she planned to be solidified, she didn't planned to see Shaka there etc..), and none of those really count in the plot itself being "its york the traitor, why?". You are just criticizing to criticize the way the plot is constructed, it's just baseless.

York being petrified was the perfect planting and missdirection for the readers. And her being the traitor makes perfect sence as she is the personnality with the greed motivation. That's all. Finito. :kayneshrug:

But why am I arguing with you again ? That feels meaningless until we know her motivations.

And please, use the "reply" button.

I talked about thematically she doesn't make sense, her motivations are stupid, the theatre she put one with the petrification didn't make sense and the timings make no sense.

This is why it's pointless to argue yes, you're just strawmaning at this point

But why am I arguing with you again ? That feels meaningless until we know her motivations.
I'm questioning her motivation for petrifying herself, why she did it in front of 2 SHs that didn't even suspect her and then had the foresight to tell S-snake to unpetrify her (without being seen by the SH or having S-snake be defeated) to reach Shaka in time to shoot him before he rescues Vegapunk

If you think Oda is going to answer that in a satisfaying way, you have more faith in him than i do. Because i doubt he will adress any of this ever.

What motivation ??? We don't have one yet beside "one vegapunk must remain" which is the perfect ego trip for such a batch of character. Again.. wait until those motivations are revealed.

Saying "i don't like her motivation" is baseless right now.

And thematically she makes the most sence, period.

the theatre she put one with the petrification didn't make sense and the timings make no sense.
Yes it does, you are just not liking it that's all. And that's ok. We can't all appreciate good storytelling :kayneshrug:

Again to be sure to end up alone most likely. That's no rocket science. And she most likely didn't know Shaka was there.

You are looking way too much into this.

Or maybe she just petrified herself out of cuteness.. and S snake unpetrified her.. Simple answer.

But the reality is that : WE .. DON'T .. KNOW. And we don't even NEED to know. The plot in itself is self sufficiant. So, wait until those part are explained.

Arguing on that little plot is completely meaningless without more information. So think that I will stop replying to you here.

He doesn't need to really, there is no plot hole here. But I know that its kind of a trend to hate Oda's work on baseless and BS reasons on this ONE PIECE forum. So i'm not really surprised here.
