The belief is he has something (additional) to his swordsmanship that is haki related. Not that he puts his sword down like its weighted training clothes.

A minority might think that, but most are saying that shanks probably has his own aCoC fighting style to compliment his sword use. Thats why mihawk fans are arguing "if shanks has haki techniques that he can use on a sword, then mihawk should too because hes WSS"
