York was betrayed by the WG to become a CD. The next best thing is for her to join the guy who wants to become King of the World and then eventually become his CD. So I believe York’s backup plan is a side alliance she has with Teach to provide him Tech in exchange for becoming part of his crew and that’s why the Blackbeard Ship is headed to Egghead now.

Well he doesn’t even need to accept her for this theory to work, as he could end up betraying her as well.
However Punks due to their Tech can become strong enough where I could see York being a difficult enemy for one of the Weakling Trio. Especially if she can build something like Vegaforce to fight with.

York is a useless contrived walking plot hole, not a character.
If Oda wants to give Vegapunk (Stella) an arc, by the end of Egghead he'll realize that desires and logic both are what make a round human being, so him having split his more basic needs into another being was a mistake (hence the betrayal). Him forgiving and "reabsorbing" York would be the way to go.
I'd like to analyze Vegapunk's existence and title as world's smartest person deeper, but I don't have the time.
I'll limit myself by saying that I expect his research to help all the factions currently involved in the story.
He has empowered the WG with the various Pacifistas/Seraphim and who knows what more weapons.
He's told the SHs a couple of things about DFs (and hope he'll delve more into the scientific aspect of it, not just the fantastical "People wish them into being").
He will be taken to the Revs, in one form or another (either as a full body, a simple talking head, or simply his digital persona in the guise of the Internet of Punks).
And, to fully show how science is neutral, neither good nor evil, but it's the user who wields it in one way rather than another, I expect whatever knowledge he's sharing with the SHs to also be stolen by BB, who will find a way of weaponize it. Thus you will have all four agents - WG, Revs, SHs, BB pirates - all using one man's research to
- control the world
- try to liberate the world
- bring freedom to everyone
- bring darkness to everyone
Only thus, in my eyes, the title as brightest mind can by justified: by providing everyone with the means to realize their own distinctive and at times opposing goals.

Thats what we thought with smiles too...same thing will happen with Teach...I mean he actually has real good DFs...Don't see why oda needs artificial DF reason when we know Teach has been collecting good DFs for a long time now...I can see oda adding ADF with Kaido's case for story telling purpose with momo/dragon stuff. But don't see duplicating a DF which they already have. Other than some DF which teach needs absolutely for some plot point not necessarily that it changes or makes them unbeatable or something.
Even if that happened...how is that something to care about....as I said BB is already collecting strong DFs...oda can just keep giving him that without giving any reason about how he got the DF. This doesn't add anything new to what BB is already doing. As I said only way this ADF plot can be useful is if its something plot relevant like creating a nika DF for BB which is used for some plot related event. In the end all DF users of BBPs will be same fodders like we see in every other arc.

Everything indicate that she just realised that the WG had betrayed her only after the CP0 arrived at Egghead, yet she still plan to become a CD, and her plan to keep only Stella and CP alive make It look like she want to trade Stella and CP for a CD place or something like that.
She would have needed to have called Teach and made a deal with him Just some hours ago
