they didt set up the new character whatsoever
he just shows up in a time skip years after and suddenly upstages his father
imagine if instead of having gohan develop and grow over two arcs until he finally upstages his father versus cell
he just did it in the first arc with zero build up
wouldt that have a much better story if we go by boruto stans
and you know imagine if gohan instead of fighting this fusion of everything known thus far android,saiyan,namekian and android combined
he just fought some random alien in a one off movie and that's his moment of outshine his dad
Wouldt that of been a much better story if we go by boruto stans
afterall there's no build or motives for anything and that's what makes a good story afterall and you know why it does
