Queen was never weak.

He's a petty idiot who will:
-turn his own troops against them by murdering them and them taunting them while doing it
-poison his own troops
-ignore a serious opponent because he of his petty feud with Judge
-ignore a serious opponent in order to beat up a sex-worker who ghosted him

Sanji would have lost to Queen if Queen took the fight seriously.

Queen is way stronger than Jack, but I have way more respect for Jack because he puts the work in, and gives everything he's got.

If Queen's dumbass had just jumped into the Main Stage fight to begin with, rather than do the Ice Oni bullshit, the alliance would have been so royally fucked

So, people see his incompetence and use it to power-scale him as weaker than he is. Green Bull didn't help.
THAT SQUIRREL IN YOUR SIGNATURE GONNA MAKE ME ACT A FOOL

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand D.Gray-Man. The writing is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical storytelling most of the development will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Allen's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these characters, to realise that they're not just empty- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike DGM truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Allen's existential catchphrase "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Katsura Hoshino's genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂

And yes, by the way, i DO have a DGM tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid 😎
That's me.
I stopped reading it after Noah Arc (?), where they were trying to get control of the ship.
I tried to pick it up again, but could not get what is going on. The whole manga is lackluster for me. It is not like other shounens with flashy fights and characters designs are also average. And the manga art is too bright.
Maybe I just need to reread it.

If you couldn’t understand it and weren’t intrigued by what you were reading, then that’s a good sign that you should just drop it.

There’s many more manga out there that you have yet to see!
