every awakening affects the enviroment,even Luffy that doesnt produce rubber but is rubber(just like Kidd is a magnet) can also turn the ground and living things into rubber too.Kidd can give magntic properties to both living and non living things,its similar to Luffy's awakening in that sense.

no,it doesn't.His base in powers are being a magnet.Its his body that has magnetic properties,he can repel or attract metal in base.That is it.He clearly made BM and that Building have opposite poles in that panel.Just like @Roo said.We have manga proof that his awakening affects the enviroment.He turned both BM and that building into Magnets.
