Speculations Sanji hasn't been used as hypetool in Egghead. What is Oda cooking?

Sometimes in early or mid portion of an arc, Oda always use Sanji for two things:

1. narrative progression
2. to hype something up, usually a character.

The former topic happen often in PreTS and postTS, sometimes yes, sometimes no.
The latter topic happen rarely in PreTS, but ALWAYS happen in New World (FI isn't in New World).

Oda recently hype something up about Sanji, his speed. In Wano he looks invisible to Commander level character. In Egghead he saves Vegapunk from a point blank laser.

Why Oda suddenly being generous to him?
Does Oda finally appreciate Sanji's advantage, his speed?

He is/does not. He is waiting for Kizaru to appear and mocking Sanji's speed later.

Sanji's blood loss is literally used to introduce the plot of FI, and used to bring it to a closure with Jimbo giving blood to luffy.

Kizaru might overpowered Sanji's speed but let's be real, who wouldn't Kizaru blitzed? If Kizaru can't outspeed even Sanji then it's just a mock spitting for Admirals and Oda respects Admirals second only to his golden boys (Luffy and Shanks).

But yeah, the usual formula of Sanji in every arcs is when Sanji gets an "L", Sanji always receives a big W in return. A good balance honestly.

This is the beauty of Sanji's character, he covers both polar/extreme of all sides.

For example he is both comedic & dramatic, a frontline fighter & a spy, a real prince & a slave, hero moment & pervert moment, etc.

So to make a well written & complete character, Oda will give Sanji both ups and downs.
