That's actually not true. The onepiece fandom is actually interested in his development. The only thing oda did that was horrible was not focus on these other important characters. Over 1000 chapters and it waa two luffy and strawhat centric. We should have gotten 20 chapters on coby and helmeppo in the new world back to back easy. 20 chapters on what cross guild or what the strawhat grade fleet are doing etc

Unpopular opinion but I think Burgess's fighting style is kinda generic for Sanji.

I like the more of Sanji fighting a brute strength + gimmick type fighter imo.

Lowkey Wanna see Sanji take someone on that primarily kicks again.

The majority of the fans either don't care or hate him.

It's a marginal fanbase that actually like him.

Despite the treatment Smoker got from Loda in Punk Hazard and all the feats he's tried to give Lolby to make him seem likeable Smoker still remains a more popular character because he's much more interesting.

I agree though Frauda left it to late to give this Gary Stu character Lolby any meaningful impact in the series should have showed his character growth rather than hiding him for most of the story then popping him up out of nowhere and being like look everyone here's Coby it's no surprise he's met with little to no reaction.
