What I think is, Blackbeard was getting comfortable and wanted things to progress slowly (he always take his time to strike).

However, he didnt anticipate sudden changes that happened recently.

We can also clearly see that Shiryu main power aint his df shit which he got maybe 2 years ago or even early

Clearly you can take the word of 1 of the most important member of the revo army for what they are, still Magellan was equal to a Shiryu that didnt relay in any fruit power and his equal low diff BB which even Shanks count deal with:kuzanshut:

Shanks before chapter 1079 didnt have any draw feat but all hear-say like most of the top tier we have
Garp until today chapter had 1 panel in which people talk about the fight that made him great still no clear feat

Shiryu is totally random, most liked the BBP will have to join to fight Garp, while he hold them to let Koby and the other escape.

The ideia of a guy weaker than Magellan defeating the Strongest Marine of all time is just stupid lol


Also, if someone will kill Garp, will be Teach, to create tension with Luffy, why a random BBP that will fight some Luffy subordinate will kill Luffy grampa?

non Swordman Luffy,WB,Kaido,Yamato,Garp

First Shiruy>Magellan canon (not headcanon like you are stating)- second the strongest marine aint in his prime
Teach aint in the island, their are 4 commander that all we have so far

You really think Oda will make Garp going down to Shiryu when he couldn't even do the same for Ray that too against a yonko? MC's grandpa and someone that has equal portrayal to Roger?

Stop hyping up Shiryu just because he some future zoro opponent. Zoro could already be stronger than him if we remove shiryu's shitty gimmick. The only endgame zoro opponents that deserve hype are Kizaru and Mihawk.
