Reminder, if one isn't born with CoC, one can't awaken/gain it.

So if Sanji isn't blessed by the heaven since birth, no such thing as "he will get CoC". Sorry pal, it is what it is.

Garp - Chapter 570
Rayleigh - Chapter 597
He was the only vinsmoke sibling who didn’t take to the Germa enhancements, Sanji being born special among the identical quadruplets is obvious.

Seeing as Sanji has thrown his life on the line countless times to save his people. Even people he doesn't particularly know shows that he has kingly aptitude but not so much kingly ambition. He's a stark contrast between Luffy and Zoro in that he doesn't stride to have power for powers sake but so that he can protect his own views and atyle of living.

What he does have going for him is his ability like Luffy and Usopp to turn people to his side with his courage, dominance and quick wit. The very fact that he refuse to use his hands or a weapon unless his morals fit into the situation is very domineering in itself. Sanji will even turn away from power if it doesn't fit his sensibilities as we've seen with him destroying his father's raidsuit which in honesty made him one of the strongest people on Wano.

His sensibilities are probably why he hasn't unlocked Coc yet but I'm sure he has it. Even if he showed it he would likely be very slow in developing it as he would probably see it as unnecessary. Sanji isn't strong because of all the factors that give him an advantage he strong despite them.

Coby on the other hand is the future of the marines and has shown an ability for haki despite not even knowing what it is. He has a very strong sense of justice and very high ambitions although he's too humble to admit it sometimes. But since meeting with Garp and Luffy he has become very reliable. See unlike most people I don't see coc as hereditary but rather coc is the development of Haki that few people ever unlock.

I think Sanji and Coby will both have COC but I think Sanji will unlock it later in life. Sanji can allready beat most people in the world and he's only 21. His strenght and speed are top notch and I don't see a limit really for how strong he can get. Once Luffy finds one Piece Sanji will probably find all blue and I believe he will do something similar to teach and make a restaurant on the island where anybody can eat. Pirates marines etc. I think nami will be there and take all his money and Sanji will remain strong so that nobody can destroy the food paradise he creates. No marines or pirates will fuck with him and in those decades I think he will develop and train coc.

A stark contrast to his ancestors who tried to conquer the world he will instead feed the world.

Koby jumped in front of a cannon to prevent the marines from killing Helmeppo in the cover story

He always had it in him

unlike Lanji
Sanji took Enel’s blast to save Usopp/Nami, offered his life to Kuma to save Zoro and Luffy, and even decide to go and save Robin solo even though the entire CP9 were on the train. And this is only Pre-TS stuff I’m mentioning lol

Yeah cause sanjis introductory arc didn’t involve him telling an enemy to point their guns at him to save Zeffs life.

Or Sanji didn’t attack a vicious pirate for the sake of his dream when he was 9 years old.

Or Sanji didn’t try to sacrifice himself to save Usopp and Nami in Skypeia, or Zoro and Luffy in Thriller Bark, or Zeff and the crew during WCI, hell he even was willing to put his life on the line to save people he hated while making a man who conquered nations kneel before him.

But yeah, Cobys two moments of not being a coward definitely means more
:seriously:

Koby obviously has a much higher chance than Sanji as the future leader of the marines

Some of the people here speaking on Sanji make me laugh though

The same people that shit on Sanji for telling Zoro to give up on his dream in the face of death are perfectly fine with Koby getting bitched by Alvida of all people for years

Koby at 16 couldn’t even muster up the courage to leave

Compare that to Sanji who bucked Zeff and his whole crew alone as a kid while everyone else stood back and watched

Koby has grown a lot and definitely feels like he’s worthy of CoC now but if you’re gonna bring up moments from the past for Sanji we gotta do the same for Koby

imagine comparing telling someone to give up on his dream with being cowardly, usopp is a coward too and everyone and their mom theorizes he will get coc

Why are we jumping through hoops to justify one but shame the other?

The point is Koby at 16 bent the knee to Alvida and was content with living that way until his death

You can’t name one other CoC user alive or dead that would be ok with that

Say what you will about Usopp but he always bounces back

Koby has been my favorite character since chapter 2.
The idea that he's been far more relevant than Smoker or that Smoker has been disregarded is just a massive misreading in my mind.
Like- he has three chapters of screen time post-timeskip max.
Smoker had an entire arc as one of the protagonists and influenced the direction of Dressrosa/Fujitora, then was sent with the giant children (an important plot thread) to Vegapunk one of the most mysterious and important/anticipated character in the series, had unresolved emotional ties to Kuzan (Smoker/Garp are the two marines he's most tied to, and he's an admitted friend of; mentioned Smoker at the end of long ring, their last scene pre- timeskip was together, and then his first appearance post-skip was saving Smoker's life/calling it fate and hinting at Smoker's future plot direction).
Plus Oda approved spotlight/portrayal in media lile Stampede.
People don't seem to understand that Smoker's story/direction was already set-up by the end of Dressrosa while Koby had essentially nothing, seeing Smoker/Tashigi pre-the Marines reintroduction and the end of Wano would have by necessity spoiled Vegapunk so they couldn't return unlike Koby who logically had to be established.
Now he's literally keeping Smoker hidden which to any reasonable person should boost anticipation/ clearly show his importance, but to this backwards fandom does the inverse.

Edit: in a series with universally large gaps in characters appearing; only Smoker is punished for still being the most reoccurring character of the Marines/Side-Cast.
Your breakdown on the two characters really helps in the perspective aspect of things for Smoker. The child plot point with Vegapunk can be addressed in a Smoker flashback perhaps and I’d like it if he’s appart of Kizaru’s faction that interacts with Aokiji and maybe Luffy on Egghead. Hopefully Oda does him justice since his next appearance needs to be impactful.

because they're 2 completely different things, you just compared to completely different completely unrelated things and thought you had a point

Name one CoC user that would be content with serving Alvida for the rest of their lives

Name one CoC user that has bent the knee to someone that doesn’t have CoC

Since this is the game you wanna play

This is also funny because Zeff literally tells Sanji he has the same “spear of grit” as Luffy and Zoro but every single time we have this conversation you ignore it

If you don’t want Sanji to unlock CoC, fine

Just don’t ignore every single piece of evidence that points in the opposite direction
