Do you think a Devil Fruit power is worth losing your ability to swim and now being weak to sea water?
None of the above characters would have survived if their fruits wasn't there 🤡🤡🤡.

Also if you get to fly and become a magical furry why not.

That’s a lie because Luffy without a fruit would have just grew into young Garp. Lucci without his fruit is still the best Rokushiki user and was famed before he ate his fruit. Yamato is literally the daughter of Kaido and knows his techniques

As much as I like DF powers I don’t think I would eat one if I were in the OP verse since I’d wanna sail and I already have a degree of thalassophobia

Plot armor and a non useless crew isn’t guaranteed

Nope.
If Oda wasn't such a hack writer people would've exploit DF holders sea weakness much more often.
He doesn’t even remember all of the specific abilities of certain Devil Fruits and has admitted to having to check fanbases so he doesn’t recycle concepts and moves
:catcry:
If Law loses to Blackbeard remember this was always an option for an instant win:

Smoker and his sea prism is fodder but why don’t more Marines incorporate such a weapon???

They are definetely worth it - unless you are a choosen one with CoC, then i would rather focus on that. Depends heavily on the DF tho - Ice Logia would be perfect, gives you insane powers, makes you a Logia and the ability to freeze water, so unless you would lose conciousness you would never drown.

Blackbeard has haki.

Not haki strong enough to stop Shambles. And his ship and worthless mateys certainly don’t have the haki to stop the scan I posted from happening to them.

All Law has to do is flip his ship and he wins but plot.
Law couldn't shamble Kaido and BM due to that reason

Depends on the level of Haki and the DF. If my Haki is mediocre or even well but still not remotely at the top, if I got my hands on a legit top tier fruit, arguably logia, sure, why not.

If my Haki is in the Yonko/PK realm, I'd prefer honing my natural abilities and skills. DF users are weak not only to the sea but different weapons, like Kairoseki, which can come in the form of handcuffs, bullets, nails, and we have seen how Vegapunk created guns utilizing bubbles that emulate the power of the sea.

Imagine a dfless Yonko level character carrying Kaidoseki nails in his pocket.

If my haki was in the top 0.01% percent nope
Otherwise I'd eat a logia or a broken paramecia easily. A preference for a logia though, as I would be *practically* invincible anywhere but in New World.

Yes. There are risks to obtaining a superpower. But it all depends how you train them and at some point if you want to compete and beat some relevant high tiers and above you need haki mastery, no other way around it.
