Questions & Mysteries If Mihawk stopped fighting Shanks after he lost an arm, why would he fight a swordsman blind from one eye????

First off, Observation Haki completely negates any downside involving a bum eye. Blind Fujitora can see the world as clearly as if he had full vision.

Second, there is no compensating for a missing arm. Unless Shanks gets a cybernetic limb then he is always going to be at a disadvantage against a peer opponent.

Mihawk doesn't want to fight Shanks because he lost an arm, but despite that his Swordsmanship is stated to be up there with Mihawks.

So either Shanks lost his dominant arm, but went on to be able to train his non dominant arm to be at a high level of Swordsmanship, which means if he still had his dominant arm, he'd be leagues above where he is at with his non dominant arm.

Or

Shanks use to fight with two Swords, and losing one arm diminished his Swordsmanship, as he can no longer fight with his strongest style.

No matter how you look at it, everything points to the fact that if Shanks didn't lose an arm, he'd be the WSS.

In Zoros case, losing an eye doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things because CoO exists. It's not crippling like losing a limb. Just look at Fujitora.

Shanks swordsmanship isn't up there with mihawks.
We are unequivocally told mihawks is superior.

Shanks was a lefty.

He lost his dominant arm, this was crippling for swordsmen in ancient times when a swordsman lost their dominant arm sometimes they'd commit seppuku since they couldn't be at their peak.

Shanks isn't as strong as he used to be -- he was once Mihawks equal ... not anymore.

Zoro losing an eye isn't as crippling as we have CoO, which Luffy also used to hone his CoO.

This is also a testament to Zoro coasting the NW with 1 eye.

How mihawk is so bored that chases Don krieg to east blue and destorys Zoro but he isnt bored enough to have interesting fight with shanks:milaugh:
Mihawk is so desperate for a good match, he’s tutoring Zoro for that position. How does it make sense to you that he’s resorting to training his competition if Shanks is a viable opponent?

Pre-crippling, Whitebeard made it sound like there was no clear Victor between Shanks and Mihawk so clearly Mihawk isn’t intimidated by someone he isn’t 100% he can beat.

So he is still ducking the fight even when shanks himself is ready to fight him?

Have you ever competed in any sport?

I'm telling you right now it's debilitating when a rival is no longer on a team or they're extremely injured there's no fun, fighting someone who's a shadow of their former self is lame.

That's why Mihawk doesn't want to fight Shanks.

A;) He's weaker
B:) It won't be like the good ol' days
C:) He's trained Zoro to surpass him (Shanks) who'll be stronger than both of them.

Mihawk is being tsundere. He is just mad that shanks sacrificed his arm and thus their rivalry for a random ass kid
If u are invited to a fight and the “weaker” is ready to fight and u refuse then you are simply ducking it. Does mihawk refuses to fight zoro if zoro goes to mihawk and tells him lets fight. Will he say he isnt intersted in fighting him since he is obviously wekaer or he will just destory him?

lol shanks is stronger than old days he isnt Shadow of his past self wtf are u talking about? He needed his crew tl defeat WsW but now he one shots kidd
There is no logical reason on why mihawk is ducking the fight.
