It's irrelevant which path he would have been because he would never have made either.. But Haki wise he was definitely on WSS path..

Oden has VOAT and he is on the WSS path.. . And he uses AdvBougyu and Ryuo all grades . Maybe that is why his Haki trails have purplish red.

Or just insane Regeneration..

You're focusing too much on the " Path " thing.. It's mainly to divide the Haki learning curve as a Swordsman..
I'm not fully shutting down the possibility of it being CoC Sparks, but definitely not AdCoC..

You told us that if they don't follow the path then they are not a WSS or PK.

Maybe since Oden had Enma he have stored some of Roger's and WB AdCoC and he released them with his haki and it turned that color .

Again it's merely to make the difference in Haki progression.. Samurai and Swordsman of the same ilk don't learn basic CoA, Hardening or CoA Emission.. They go straight for Internal Destruction Tier 4, Ryuo Imbuing on their Sword..

Same with AdCoC.. Swordsmen aiming for the Pinnacle of Swordsmanship will find a CoA based CoC technique to Create a Black Blade, not a CoC based CoA application which AdCoC is..

CoC based CoA application means AdCoC is using the " Concept " of CoA's Ability which is creating a " Concrete " force..
CoA based CoC application means you're using the " Concept " of CoC to project attacks outward and apply a CoA Haki blast externally..
Roger's Kamusari and Dragon's Damnation are the perfect example of that.. Projecting Rays of Pure CoA energy through a High Quality Blade that was built to do just that..
