Let's just agree that Luzan alive adds more value to Blackbeard than dead. Kuzan is a former admiral who became known after MF for losing a fight and leaving the organization. Engaging in a fight with Kuzan would create a breach that other Emperors could take advantage of, especially Shanks, who has literally been looking for Blackbeard. On the other hand, if Blackbeard were to duel with Luzan and defeat him, all he would have is his fruit, and only that. It may add some credibility to the feat, but it wouldn't be anything alarming. There wouldn't be anyone of Luzan's caliber to consume his fruit and be as effective as he is in his tasks, so killing him would be a waste.

If it were at least Kaido instead of Luzan, it would make total sense. This is because the BB Pirates would be able to disrupt the Beast Pirates, possibly with the hypothetical fall of Kaido, they would obtain Wano as their stronghold and the resources that Kaido has built up over decades, in addition to Kaido's ROAD. Do you understand that this is simply on another level?

That's right, Luzan isn't even actively competing with BB. LOL
Man, all that text is part of the "Anger" phase of grief. Let it all out, not the first time BB and his crew backs down from an Admiral.

Getting the Ice fruit would make BB immune to drowning btw, which is the biggest weakness a DF user like BB could suffer from. If he could take it, he would have. But he can't hahahaha:catsure:

There is zero indication it was a "non serious" attack. It's a high end attack that he used against the WSM during a war. You don't get more serious than that.
It's maybe highly serious in your own headcanon, but nothing in the Manga states it was. Is Kizaru's finger beam also a high end attack because he used it against the WSM at MF, you know, since it doesn't get any more serious than that, right ?

It's a fodder move used to prove Garp's point he made a second after that Kuzan is going easy on him while Garp is absolutely serious.

It must be nice to be a Teach fan. He's never scared but always assessing the situation and decides to run knowing full well he can wash his oponnent and take the fruit!

- Ran from Akainu with his entire crew
- Didn't wanna pick a fight with Kuzan and apologised on behalf of his subordinate

I'd like to be part of his fandom, no matter what happens he always pulls a "strategic retreat"
:kobeha::kuzanshut:
I like Teach, he's a pragmatist with idealistic tendencies, why fight Kuzan and risk taking damage to himself or crew when he can just ask him to join? Why fight a pointless battle against Akainu and marines when he has nothing to gain from it? He's a really interesting character honestly, always using his brain and thinking of the best course of action.

Heck after beating law he was weighin his next action with him on the spot, man's always thinking ahead and I gotta say its pretty entertaining.

Luzan will cease serving the sea emperor and chad BB when ?

If being navigator was important oda would show it.
No because the Blackbeard Pirates are barely shown to keep them enigmas.

But he hasn’t, so why assume he will?
Because he was called such in a databook.

who gives a shit?
Why hope for Lafitte to have a boring ass shitty fight against Nami where Zeus is gonna do all the work anyway?

What part of Zeus actively fighting for Nami like a pokemon a part of "navigation skills"?

I actually hope Nami doesn't fight at all.
Because if it is anything like the Ulti fight, it's gonna be a boring ass shitty waste of panels.
"muh stronger lightning"
Predicting future events isn't the same as hoping for them. You can hope for a good Lafitte fight, but does that mean Oda will give us that?

It also comes after Kuzan attacking Garp which goes perfectly inline with him doing the exact opposite of what he's asking Garp earlier. We also know for a fact Kuzan would hesitate.
It doesn't make sense because he is the one who froze over the Marines Garp brought with him, and went to confront Garp himself. If he was being hesitant, or felt some sort of way for his former teacher, he wouldn't have approached Garp to begin with.
