It's pretty much the question Doflamingo asked him all the way back in chapter 699.
I'd just guess spy/double agent who specifically chose BBP before this chapter, but for now looks like he really cut connections with Marines and decided to benefit from Teach's proposal which fits with his conversation with Smoker back in Punk Hazard.
