That's part of the reason why bros are hesitant with putting Mihawk above Shanks. Shanks is treated like an unbeatable God that Oda gives head personally every chapter he is in while Mihawk is just.....there to put it nicely.

Cross guild doesn't have top tiers to match SHs bar Mihawk

Shanks fighting cross guild doesn't add up as welll.


Only Blackbeard pirates can take these two out but then we have Mihawk within Cross guild

Well I have theorized that the fight for the last poneglyph will be a tournament of sorts, maybe teams like YYH. If the burnt scar man is a Davy Back figure then it could be a Davy Back fight where serious characters can have duels (Zoro vs Mihawk, BB vs Shanks) but comedic characters like Buggy and/or Usopp can have challenges
