Love the buggy hype just as much as everyone else but he isnt going to be pirate king

Cross guild succeeding winning the race to the one piece makes not just luffy but the strawhats as a whole look bad



Luffy and robin finding the one piece and learning the true history after makes makes the moment it happens lose a massive amount of weight and importance
The strawhats failing to make luffy pirate king especially when it comes to zoro compared to mihawk makes them look bad


The decision the stawhats make is supposed to be a big deal

Ngl seeing a future in which buggy, shanks, or blackbeard win all sound exiting and interesting but they're not going to happen

He won't be pirate king. His dream is about collecting the most treasures in the world.

So I think what Oda will do is make Buggy achieve a similar notoriety by collecting the treasure in Laugh Tale that Luffy will not care about, with likely followers using that in a gag moment to declare him as King, but the actual King of Pirates will be Luffy

With that said, I'd not be surprised as well if Blackbeard actually became PK first, with Luffy taking that title over him later when Blackbeard's idea of taking over the world would contrast Luffy's idea of being the most free on sea

Probably Oda is cooking something and it will have, again, a nasty taste. First Luffy got out of the blue his "secret dream" after decades of screaming I wanna be the pirate king left and right, even rocks know that that is Luffy dream. But now Oda throws the secret dream bullshit. At the same time Buggy has his gag of going from simple pirate to shiki, yonko and.... he actually has chances now to become the PK all to fullfill his joke and at the same time fool Luffy dream, Roger and everything that (is) was sacred in this manga. So it is probably gonna happen while Luffy fullfills his new secret dream while both Shanks and BB are out of the game (end of the manga).

Luffy always had secret dream. Shanks said about 6 years old Luffy to Ray, that Luufy said same words as Captain Roger. Those words wasn't about beign the Pirate King lol

Buggy becoming the pirate king isn’t bad for the straw hats, and the decision can still be made. Buggy can find out the truth of the void century and make one conclusion and take the one piece, then luffy can get to raftel find the truth and make another conclusion.

I don’t see how buggy making it to raftel is bad at all

There has been only one crew who made it to raftel and that is the Pirate Kings crew. If Buggy makes it there aswell the moment would feel very underwhelming ad undeserving.

It would be horrible if not only Buggy makes it but Shanks and Blackbeard. Blackbeard i could understand but Buggy and Shanks? Hell no

Only 1 crew will make it there and that is the winner of the Yonko War. The Straw Hats.

Shanks and Blackbeard won’t make it. They’re too busy fighting an unnecessary war to become Pirate king and luffy will come out on top in that war.

I don’t see how only two groups making it to raftel makes it undeserved?

Buggy likes to lie a lot, but he was serious in that speech, he must know a way to Laugh tale being so confident.

Plus the fact he failed to go to laugh tale the first time , he is definitely at least putting his foots there
