Speculations Kizaru will be taken out in Egghead so that the SHs vs Marines matchups will line up nicely

The power hierarchy of the Marines is comparable to the power hierarchy of the Yonko crews. You have the Gensui at the top, who is analogous to the Yonko. You have the 3 Taisho right below him, who are like the 3 Top YCs of the Marines. Note that obviously the Taisho are a lot closer to the Gensui in strength than the All Stars / Sweet Commanders are to Kaido/BM, but the point is that there are 3 guys below the leader but above everyone else. After the Taisho, you have the Zodiac VAs (Momousagi, Chaton, Kurouma, the 4 others), who are a level above the other VAs. Just like how the Flying 6 are above the other headliners.

When you add up Sakazuki, the Taisho, and the Zodiac VAs, you get 11 core members of the Marines. However, there are only 10 SHs, so the numbers are close but don’t quite line up.

This can easily be solved by having Luffy take out Kizaru in Egghead, so that when the SHs take on the Marines, it will be 10 vs 10. Luffy will take on the strongest Marine and the leader, Sakazuki. Zoro and Sanji take out the top 2 henchmen, who are clearly a step above the next strongest Marines. Jinbe, the mid trio, and weak trio take out the 7 Zodiac VAs.

More or less agree. I was iffy on this before the reveal of Kurouma, but now I'm convinced we're getting a full set of Zodiac Marines as the "bad guys" for the final war.

Sakazuki v. Luffy
Fujitora v. Zoro
Greenbull v. Sanji
Kurouma v. Jinbe(?)
...
Chaton v. Usopp
Gion v. Nami

Good thread.

Zodiac Marines are definitely going to be arc opponents, and tbh I'm excited to see what they can do.

Though, I think it is possible that Issho may not fight the Straw Hats at all, and instead Borsalino will make it past Egghead.

How do luffy take out him while saturn presence is there ? I dont think so SHs will beat marines army . After kid and law, luffy somehow will taken L here. Oda hyped 5 elders for years and you think while one of the 5 elder is there , luffy take absolute victory . Nah

Fuji most likely wont be batting for the WG against the SHs. Kizaru and Akainu have a closer relation ship than the new admirals. Kizaru is like Sakazuki's right hand. I don't think he'll get taken out here. And GB is a fan boy of Sakazuki. It makes more sense for it to be Sakazuki, Kizaru and GB imo. Fuji is the odd man out.

But Kizaru IS going to egg head. And oda promised a big incedent. So who knows. Maybe it's Saturn who gets taken out.

Kizaru, being the CD bootlicker he is, would probably commit seppuku if he let anything happen to a Gorosei

Why sacrifice Kizaru in vain when there's a better solution by having Fujitora stand neutral during the conflict?

It will mirror both sides (Marines-BBP) having 10 matchups and one admiral that won't side with them to the end.
