Oda also keeps using the words "sword skill" in reference mihawk vs shanks. Why not just say that mihawk is stronger? Because being the strongest swordsman is related to skill. Or as mihawk put it, "grace".

But being the strongest puncher doesn't give you the strongest chin, or the highest endurance, or the best stamina, or the best reaction time, or the fastest punch.

What type attack was Shanks using when he oneshot Kid? Was he perform a casual swings like Mihawk did against Vista? Or was he using high end attacks that contained ACoC?

Thats why it was highlighted as Sword skill and thats why Shanks was used as a comparison because he is a fellow swordsman. They both use Swords as their Main weapon and fighting style. Your argument would've made sense if Mihawk was called World strongest Cutter/Slasher

Mihawk being weaker than Old WB is not really a demerit for him, after all, Old WB even without his medications, suffering from heart attacks and no longer having the ability to use his Haki like before, still managed to defeat Akainu.

I think that too but Mihawk wasnt serious and he left without any scratches. Oda didnt want Mihawk to do anything in that war till this day Mihawk hasnt done anything and thats because Oda is saving it for another time. Mihawk and Shanks is this eras WB and Roger. WB is a legend with high reputation if it was reversed the same would be said.

I don't think I need to tell you about the million translation disputes over that line but even taking it to mean what you think it means, I don't understand how it changes anything.

Oldbeard was still considered the WSM by pretty much everyone until we found out that he was sick and dying.

Sky splitting doesn't automatically prove equality either. Big Mom split the sky with Kaido and he's clearly above her. Pre-G5 Luffy split the sky with Kaido as well.

Besides, isn't it a bit disingenuous to scrutinize that line from Mihawk but then completely disregard Mihawk also essentially implying that he believes himself to be above Shanks?

At the end of the day, these "Fraudhawk" allegations are entirely created within the fanbase and don't have any actual basis within the story itself.
