There will be no Edo-tenset Ryuma. We already have Gorosei- Handi, who reminds Kyoshiro, which could mean that he is RYUMA'S ANCESTOR. He is beyond Ryuma
No swordsman has surpassed ryuma up to date, literally no one in wano knew about mihawk.

You would expect that the WSS would be famous within the land of swordsman, dont you???

Also, wano People took great pride on black blade shusui so its bound that they would want to know about the only other person other than ryuma capable of turning a blade black.

Mihawk may not be the final fight for Zoro but if it’s Gandhi it be weird since 1 he is old and that in itself dehypes him somewhat because of how the story keeps telling us elderly characters are somewhat held back. Number 2 he doesn’t have a black blade which was always apart of Mihawk’s hype as the wss. Ryuma who was probably the best of his era, who till this day is like Wano’s biggest legend, had a black blade but not a supreme grade. Mihawk is the only figure we know of that has a black blade and is classed among the supremes. If there is a boss for Zoro to face after Mihawk he should have at least both of those things going for them while also being in peak physical condition.

Since we are walking towards edotensei/clone/ressurection piece, how would you feel if mihawk turned out to be Zoro's third last fight before fighting gorosei blackblade and "sword god" ryuma????

It makes sense from a plot point, hear me out:

Mihawk is the strongest swordsman that we are ALLOWED to know about, just like roger was the strongest pirate that we(by we i mean both the readers and the in verse characters) are allowed to know about since xebec was erased from history.

Ever since imu's power demonstration on lulusia, we got the information that yonkos are nothing more than gatekeepers indirectly working for the governament against anyone trying to find the True story of the world.

With that said, mihawk could be the gatekeeper of swordsmanship, preventingothers from reaching its peak, blackblades could even become relevant plotwise towards the unknown facts of OP's world.

After zoro beats mihawk and gets his blackblade, he will fight against the actual WSS(gorosei guy) and then the Strongest swordsman ever in which he either fights holy knight who turns out to be ryuma's clone or something else involving ryuma.

King of hell stuff could foreshadow zoro going to hell in other to fight ryuma.

Oda wouldnt introduce 9 dudes for nothing, they must be the greatest at something ever in order to serve directly under the king/queen/whatever of the world.
2023 and bro thinks Zoro will be relevant enough to have that big of a role in the final war where all of Luffy's peers will be present. :gokulaugh:

Also, Black Blade becoming plot relevant? Lol, I am a Zoroboi and even I have no disillusion that Lolda is that clever. :suresure:

A whole bunch of nothing.

A decade ago some people cope that Shiryu would kill Mihawk and he'll become the new WSS.
Story so far is not suggesting that Holy Knights and/or Gorosei are the SH eos enemies and even if they are and Zoro is already the WSS doesnt necessarily means Ghandi or a Holy Knight are stronger than Mihawk.
A champion of MMA/Boxing etc etc has to defend his title against other figthers but it doesnt mean that they are stronger than the previous champion.

This is stupid as hell, no offense
Stupid for you but certainly not for me.

Mihawk carried the strongest blade or rather he created the strongest.

"that's the strongest sword in the world!!"

Zoro has to surpass the strongest blade wielded by the best swordsman. What i find stupid is that people are actually entertaining the idea to resurrect the dead and have them face Zoro just to avoid the Zoro vs Mihawk matchup for whatever agenda.

It's much easier. Mihawk is already superior or at worst equal to Ryuma so by defeating Mihawk Zoro automatically surpasses Ryuma as well.

Ryuma forged Shusui.
