In manga it was a debate..we literally couldn't see behind King properly as panels were blurry so waiting for anime Confirmation was the only thing we could show

Anime showed that Zoro busted through flame on king..aka Zoro destroyed a character 100s of times more durable than Kaido in one attack and mutilated him to top it off.

I have always said Flame was on but haters told me i am wrong..go rewatch the episode.
The sequence makes perfect sense when Zoro asked King "You are blocking me even while flames on" and then his flames only turned off when Zoro knocked him out.

Now if Dragon Damnation one shotted lunara it should split Kaido in half and is the strongest attack in One Piece history

Lol not gonna lie that went over my head in all the hype regardless though my stance never changed the only time flame on mode king started dodging and blocking was against adv coc zoro, whether or not oda made it clear didn’t matter… kings own actions were proof enough people just wanted to ignore this… anime for the win though oda just needs to make Luffy and zoro use adv coc in egg head

Facts. Oda and his editors work closely with the anime staff to get important things right and they had more than year to storyboard the episode, King had his flame on.
One thing tho, Zoro destroyed King's strongest attack and his durability, Zoro would destroy Kaido's durability but Kaido is way stronger than King just like Zoro was in that final clash.
