:seriously:
You yourself sent me a Whitebeard with half a head, as a response to Sakazuki being disciplined by Shanks. Two things totally unrelated.

We're joking around here, but usually admiral wankers get off on Whitebeard being Sakazuki's prime example of a victim. And then use it to demean the Yonkos. Like... You can't have it both ways. Whitebeard's state was all but spelled by Oda. It's not really a "triumph" for Akainu, in terms of proving his strength.
Are you referring to this set of posts?
It is easy to stay committed when Oda humiliates and degrades Linlin and Crydo at every available opportunity. :akasalt:
Cause if you are then firstly, that discussion had to do with the humiliation of the Yonko in general vs the humiliation of the Admirals in general, a discussion that regards Oda’s portrayal of each group rather than any power level scaling.

Secondly, where is Shanks? I doubt @Cinera intended that to be a feat against Shanks when it was neither the topic of conversation nor when Shanks is quite literally nowhere to be seen.

Is there any rule that you can't be zoro/Mihawk fan if you are Teach fan?:choppawhat:

I am even hardcore sanji fan. See my Avatar:optimistic:
No, I was hoping you'd say that. Even Sanji!! Hehehe, I love it. x

Yes.

It did have to do with humiliation. But see it's not much of a humiliation in this case is my point, even though fans always single it out. An old, sick ghost of a Yonko getting his head blown off by the strongest marine? If this is the standard, then it's a weak point. It's not much for Akainu to handle and it doesn't humiliate Whitebeard either.

Hahaha oh sorry, I thought it was common knowledge that this is the face Sakazuki makes when Shanks talks.

Always single it out? This is actually the first time I have seen it used for such a purpose. Linlin and Crydo (especially Linlin) are typically the biggest targets regarding humiliation long before anyone even thinks of Whitebeard considering the horrible portrayal and characterisation of the first two and Whitebeard’s perfect character.

Like I said, Wedding Cake and Hostages. :kizabat:

Bruh, Akainu’s always pulling a face like he just accidentally swallowed a fat fly. I just thought that was him in a typical scene of no importance. The bloke’s face is set in a permanent grimace. :akasalt:

Good for you then, I've seen it far too many times :')

Sureee, sure :milaugh: I'll admit that he always has a terrible face on, but nothing trumps this depressed look
The entire forum is a meme at this point, just grab the popcorn and enjoy
Truer words were never spoken.

Good Morning my fellow MemePhiles,

Seeing that I've acquired the taste to be entertained by all kinds of wank;

I'd like to publicly thank the Anti-Wank commanders @Jo_Ndule-Senpai and @Topi Jerami-Senpai for their Anti-Wank entertainment, I never get depressed but they still cure my depression somehow

May you continue to guide the unwashed casuals, like myself, towards Anti-Wank enlightenment :ihaha:
@Topi Jerami might pass, but @Jo_Ndule is far too big a Big Mom Pirates and Kidd wanker to qualify as anti Wank. He doesn't even do proper anti Wank either, he just relentlessly downplays swordsmen.
:gonope:

We're using facial expressions in powerlevel debates now?
:milaugh:

East Blue Zoro was able to make Mihawk sweat (Zoro is the only one in the series to pull off such a feat). Neither Shanks, nor WB, nor Jozu nor Vista were able to elicit such a reaction from him. I guess East Blue Zoro is a solid top tier now?
:hohoho:

No, that's just me taking pleasure in rubbing it in :milaugh:
I would like to know your honest opinion on that facial expression?

To me it looks like Sakazuki is frustrated by the political red tape preventing him from tearing into Shanks. Which becomes the core theme of this character after he becomes Fleet Admiral. The “man of action” suddenly gimped by politics. Moves his HQ closer to the Yonko, but then suddenly can’t go after them because Reverie forces the Marines to prioritize the Warlords.

^If you accept the above as true, then this has nothing to do with Shanks being stronger than Akainu lol. Akainu is also at the political mercy of San Charloss, but of course that doesn’t mean Akainu is weaker than the guy who got KO’d by Shabondy Luffy Lol.

We've seen people use the positioning of characters in random panels and sound effects for power scaling, facial expressions aren't that far off! Powerscalers here can use literally a blank page and twist it to support their wank :risicheck:

Honest? I agree with everything you've stated. But a part of it is also that he knows Shanks' crew is simply too strong to get into this, even though he'd like to rip through them - that is telling. Perhaps he even felt some shame about what was demolished around them in the realization of this pause, we can't know until we see his story. It looks like an overall cold shower for him, and it cannot be denied that Shanks is part of it.

I don't think this indicates that Shanks is stronger 1 on 1, of course not. But hesitation from everyone involved and Sakazuki shows that he is definitely feared. In before someone mentions the crew: no, don't downplay this. Crew is an important part, but anyone willing and being capable to stand in Sakazuki's way is not a joke. I don't want to downplay either of them.

Why did you hyperlink to @Topi Jerami's profile page?

What do you guys think Mihawk's facial expression in that panel indicates. Is he scared of East Blue Zoro? Is East Blue Zoro so strong that he threatens him? I think trying to read too much into facial expressions like that (excluding ones showing pain, clear fear, etc) is misguided. The gap between Mihawk and East Blue Zoro is much larger than the gap between me and an ant. If East Blue Zoro could make Mihawk sweat (reminder that no one other than Zoro has caused him to lose his composure), then Sakazuki's mere grimace after Shanks intervention cannot be used as an argument for powerscaling purposes.

Idk about all that lol, but obviously Mihawk sweating at East Blue Zoro was just surprise. Mihawk wasn’t expecting to find such a talent in East Blue of all places, and like he said, he can measure the worth of a Swordsman by just seeing their technique.
