Zoro never fought Kaido for more than a few seconds and that was in a tag team. Yamato was one-on-one vs. Kaido for a decent amount of time. If you can't see the contrast then:
It's true, Zoro didn't Kaido fight Kaido for long but that was because of the condition he was in thanks to Kaido and Big Mom combo attack. Not because of anything Kaido did by himself.
During Zoro and Kaido's battle Zoro beat and scarred Kaido with 20 to 30 broken bones. If Zoro can do that to Kaido while in a weaken state it's not hard to understand what he could do in better condition. You may not like it but Zoro could have did the same as Yamato if he didn't have 2o to 30 broken bones. Ask yourself a question? Why couldn't hybrid Kaido beat a character with 20 to 30 broken bones whose condition would have affected his strength, speed and power.
