In my view she should've died of hunger before getting to the cake. Dark but would made WCI one of the best arcs in my opinion.
When I mentioned it before some said that her not eating the cake would make Sanji character look bad since the arc was about him.
To me her her not eating and dying and everyone escaping like they did would be the same. Her not eating the food does not affect Sanji character. It would be just irony.
Some Sanji fans disagreed. So I made the comment about Sanji character to highlight that point of view.

Exactly, this is what I mean. There could be a myriad of reasons he doesnt go back for the climax. One being is that his whole operation of creating weapons and a smile army is ruined. There is no more time to sit there so if he's going to be involved in the future, the Rocks plot technically could work if Oda ends up characterizing that group more and Rocks is alive
