Oda isn't going to emphasize a character growth point, make a big deal of it and then turn around and push them further into the opposite. The characters dialogue and own choices mean things. He got his science powerup. Anything else won't be science further on.

That's your headcanon. The last time we saw the n°4 he was in full germa mode, there's no opposite direction, germa is literally his bread and butter and any upgrade will be based on that and not something as ridiculous as "he's going to get top tier haki and/or eat a DF".

They don't have to be the last oppenot but you do realize mihawk is going down before them and doesn't change wss zoro vs an admiral, It's in the manga you can't get to mj without beating mhq
