It's possible Urouge could use Armament on his whole body, then take blows, and use Retribution without taking actual damage himself. Like, he absorbs the kinetic force, like a Dial (I still love your theory about him eating a Dial Fruit), then blows it back out, but the Haki shields him from any of the damage.
