Speculations Yamato will join Cross Guild after Wano gets proper defense.

Yamato knows Buggy from Oden’s journal, such as when he missed out on going to Laugh Tale due to sickness.

So I’m speculating that if Croc decided to go to Wano after finding out Pluton is there, I imagine Yamato seeing Buggy as Oden’s friend and having her naivety manipulated enough to join Cross Guild. Yamato might just think back to when Oden joined an Emperor and transferred to the future Pirate King, so Yamato may also see Emperor Buggy as her way to Pirate King Luffy as a result. After Momo proves himself as a capable defender (or if at least Mihawk is interested in staying in Wano and training him), he along with Neko and Inu might also vouch for Buggy, since they were all friends on Roger’s ship, and happily send her off with them as she makes her way back to Luffy.

Crocodile would no doubt jump at the opportunity of having the strength of a “mini-Kaido” fighting under him, taking advantage of her naivety enough to make her do awful things. I think that would def give her more of a character arc to work with than just sailing with Straw Hats right away, because then she’d have to come to terms with how you shouldn’t give people special treatment just for being friends with Oden.

Well Oda possibly might go an even crazier route, have Mihawk visit Wano and see it as his new replacement home for his gloomy castle since most Marines hesitate to go there. Zoro was Momo’s teacher for a little bit, so Mihawk seeing Momo’s determination might be interested enough to train him from time to time giving home something to do while in Wano.

Well that’s where the character conflict comes in, that should Yamato listen to Buggy because he was Oden’s friend or if she should stop trying to appease to what Oden would or wouldn’t do.
