Ah yes. Low quality. Poor materials. Breaks just after the 'warranty' ends. New 'patches' make smart devices obsolete, etc, etc. There is a reason I have tried to limit my usage of smart devices (with the only one being a phone).

You can go to a refurbished furniture store and find such better quality there.
