I think this is a gross oversimplification of some people's concerns as a way to hand-wave it. Pedophillia is becoming a more common thing within the LGBT community. I've heard so many people 'sympathising' with MAPs it's unreal.
This does not mean all trans or gays are pedos. But I would say grooming by homosexuals and trans people tends to get less traction because of concerns of being 'discriminatory'.

100 years ago the age of consent in many countries and what was considered an acceptable age gap in relationships was very different to what it is now.
It wasn’t until feminists started standing up for the rights of girls that this changed.
The fact that the right cannot differentiate between the lgbt movement, which stands to empower people to live and express themselves freely, and pedophiles, who wish to take advantage of the innocence of others for sexual pleasure, shows how regressive the right is on this.

It's this kind of talk that usually gets right winger's heckles up on the matter as well. There are some who are completely willing to use progressivist movements to push their own sinister goals. Pedophiles, who are manipulative, are more than happy to try and attach themselves to the LGBT movement if it allows them any form of legitimacy. This is not the same as saying 'the gays are pedos'.

There’s nobody I can think of with a serious following on the left that seriously believes pedophiles should be part of LGBT.
