I’m actually thinking that he will use shit like “red hair pirates saved them because they are not killers” 
Like he could give Kid over to the elbaf villagers so they can cash in his 3 billion berry bounty.
We don’t know this. That’s just your headcanon.
For all we know he regained consciousness and was able to dodge the giants’ attack. Alternatively Heat or Wire could have saved him.
If Kid was somehow able to just escape the giants’ attack and grab a log or something at the side of the ship, he’d be just fine.
You can’t say that that didn’t happen because we never saw what happened. All we saw was the ship and some fodder sinking.
Just going by Oda’s track record, I find it hard to believe Oda offscreened Kid’s death.
