Didn't Oda admit to coming up with basically the entire worst gen on the fly while drawing Sabaody?
None of them were meant to become any big players and Law only did because he kept performing extremely well at the popularity polls (also confirmed by Oda).
So while I like Kidd's design and his character, I wouldn't get my hopes up for him playing a major role.

*All 4. He is definitely coming back. Oda gave him conqueror haki for a reason. Knowing how he likes to give all the spotlight to Luffy it was unlikely of him to let Kid awaken both his fruit and haki in the same arc, and be with Luffy the only confirmed guys in the story to do it. Now that he is probably gonna end up in elbaf something great might come up.

I am sure that he has something for him. The kid and shanks plot line was a thing since punk hazard I feel like kid attacked shanks crew the first time for a reason i am expecting this to be elaborated on once we reach elbaf. Also like you said oda gave Kid conquerors haki for a reason and in the future he alongside luffy wiill be amongst the only people to have reached the pinnacle of conquerors haki and devil fruit. I feel like many people hate on him because its always beem the trend in the community. People are making HUGE mistake by underestimating him. I simply cannot wait to see them being proven wrong in the following years once he reaches his prime

Kidd just being reduced to a tool to demonstrate Shank's strength really felt bad, especially after the fight against big mom.
But as I already mentioned; Law's special place in the story is entirely based on the popularity polls. I personally don't like such polls directly affecting the story to such a degree but I see why Oda did it. If Kidd would've performed better than Law (and law much worse) then he would have gotten that attention I think.
But I don't think Kid is dead. Wouldn't really fit Oda's style to kill someone off like that.

i think it was amazing and well deserved it also parallels luffys first L agaisnt kaido however in Kid's case Shanks acknowledged and did not underestimate his opponent.
His ego must have taken a huge blow especially since he came out of a win agaisnt a fellow yonko I cant wait to see how oda will make things move forward for Kid. If Kid bounce back and learn from this it will only make him stronger especially since he has the potential to get acoc one day and has a will and mental resilience similar to Luffy

you are just looking at his ls and not what happened in between like a true hater would. Did you know that luffy has more l's against yonkos than kid? Yet I would bet that you wouldnt say that its a problem because there are things hapenning in between.
