My grandmother. She was a very devout ( although extremely racist) woman. When she was very sick and at the brink of death she was afraid as anybody could possibly be. She had a moment of doubt, and died afraid of what would happen next. At the time I was dating this girl who was an atheist herself. She explained to me how she viewed the existence of god as unlikely as a Pokémon popping out of a trading card. After my grandmother died I realized she was most likely right, and my grandmother never had the chance to question god’s existence and it lead her to having a very psychologically excruciating death. My dad took it hard, he doubled down on his faith and now he lives with the same fear of death. I know in my heart he is not sure that god exists, but he is too afraid to admit it to himself. I just think this is a healthier outlook to have.

At some point something had to come from nothing. We’re nothing when it comes to the universe as a whole, we don’t know the truth. The best bet is to use Occam’s razor ( the simpler explanation with fewer leaps in logic is most likely the answer) which leads to the conclusion of god (at least as humans envision him) most likely not being real.

Dont try to figure out god existence with philosophy,just search up history about paranormal phenomena and miracles.I have experienced two very weird and spooky stuff recently,Even caught some stuff on photos.I know by personal experience there is more than the eye can see out there.Also,near death experiences are very interesting phenomena.I recommend anyone that struggles with death to look that stuff up.Some many stories...Anecdotes don't mean they are lies or not real.

Incredibly sorry for your loss, but it's a little funny how you just casually say she was extremely racist before saying she died.
I mean, the post it self isn't really funny, kind of depressing even, but that was a pretty random thing to say about her honestly.
