exactly this. i like the 'looney tunes' ability, it's fun and fits the OPverse. i would have hated some kind of a boring muscle man powerup.

but the devil fruit retcon sucked ass. like, ok, it doesn't need to stay as gomu gomu no mi, you can retcon it as the imagination imagination no mi or something like that, but making luffy a literal god wasn't cool.

Are u sure ? Because OP sales has been consistent and in top 10 and top 5 as usual even in its lowest period. And volumes release per year has also been come down.

OP sales has been in a steadily decline for a long time, currently it still sales 1 million copies ish per volume while is great but far from its peak, main reason being to its length
Manga sales ranking record the total sales of a series, works with anime adaptation that becomes a hit will get a shocking boost because people will check out and buy the entire series(aka all the volumes) and although OP red was a huge hit, no one is buying over 100 volumes that easily, so OP will usually have to rely on whatever little new volumes they published each year

Yes, G5 is so versatile and yet Oda held himself back so much that it ended with big punch. Ending could've been better if it ended when Luffy grabbed lightening like a thor and if Oda goes that direction. And lol at G5 trying to eat Lucci.

I mean it is expected. You can't have peak all the time. Before hitting peak OP was similar to what ot is now. But once it hits peak like, it will have it's new peak.
