Honestly, Ice is more generic and so is light. However, Oda handled both the ice and the light fruit much better than the magma fruit. Ice compliments Kuzan perfectly and his moves are magestic. Light compliments Kizaru in a troll yet badass way.

If a magma fist didn't work, throw more or maybe shape it as a dog. How does that change the attack itself? No fucking clue. Akainu is the embodiment of "if it didn't work once, I'll try again with the same shit".

Magma is molten rock. So I think can Akainu can make animals out of magma.

But yeah, Oda needs to invent more ideas for magma usage.

I really like the idea of blue magma for Awakening though.
