She was damaged because her resistance was off after freaking out about Madre Carmel. Hell she was fine while Kid was making her falling floor after floor. Only bombs did significant damage to her.

Fighting Yonko is different from hurting them. Luffy fought Kaido in Act 1 but couldn't do shit.

Literally only Luffy haters says that Luffy couldn't beat any opponent after he defeated him. With that said I say that he never defeated Katakuri.

Oda is ALWAYS putting Luffy and his opponent in equal conditions so they are ALWAYS having a FAIR fight.

Doflamingo stated that Luffy took damage before their 1v1 started and Luffy replied that Doffy also took damage.

Luffy got defeated many times and even died before his final 1v1 with Kaido where both stated to be on the edge of their limitations.
