It is clear to any rational person that Shiryu is not at Kuzan's level, at least for now.

This agenda is creating unrealistic expectations that will ruin the character.

It's the exact same thing with Buggy subordinate and the agenda of trying to put him above Shanks.

scummy/underhanded tactics without strength required to back it up quickly begins to look like its done to compensate for obvious shortfall. if he could do the same things head on it would be more impressive , chances are he cant.

Not even a Shiryu fan but he has portrayal that puts him at admiral lvl bare minimum :
1- He was said to equal or being slightly inferior to Magellan who at worst was YC1++ lvl pre-ts.
2- Is logically Zoro's opponent in BB's crew which put him at top tier level automatically
Even if you are a Shiryu hater, you can't deny that his portrayal puts him at top tier without a doubt.

Shiryu is a combination of Oden and king. If Oden and king are top tiers then how much if you combine the two.
