Garp dying without Luffy being any where close to it, getting no interaction with his son and grandson will be the most fail piece of writing Oda has ever done. What the fuck does it accomplish? Nothing. If it were BB killing Garp, that'd give him an impetus to fight against BB but here there is just Aokiji and other members of BBP.
