Yamato having someone to follow steps has nothing to do with not being a conqueror. Just like Luffy wants to be Shanks and Zoro wants to be Mihawk.

Yamato is a conqueror because since her 8 she is fighting against her own dad taking any beating he gives her in order to pursue her dreaming.
