Powers & Abilities Shanks vs mihawk fighting styles

Not about who’s stronger or what it means to be a swordsman. Just how do you think they each fight since they obviously aren’t carbon copies of each other. What makes them unique from the other?

Imo

• Shanks focusing on advanced forms of haki. Pretty much all the ones luffy has but better aka future sight and penetration armament
  • I don’t really subscribe to the idea but I have once saw a theory that shanks (along with his commander) having weapons that are devil fruits too make them more unique
• Mihawk focusing on powers related to his blade and eyes.
  • He’s the only current character we know of wielding a supreme grade blade a black one at that. So hopefully gives him lots of bonuses for mastering
  • His eyes are weird so they probably do something abnormal

They both have advanced forms of haki. At most they will have differences in the kind of sword techniques that they use, but they obviously both have the same core.

I think Shanks swordsmanship is a "trickster and cheater" style (judging by his character). Mihawk is likely more traditional and straightforward (also judging by his character). But this is all headcanon and assumptions.

Mihawk's swordsmanship style seems to be very refined and conventional. Also Yoru is a two handed blade.

Shanks's saber is less traditional and Shanks has tricks and gimmicks up his sleeve (Gryphon on fire) and the blade can be use with one hand.

But overall, their swordsmanship are the same as a concept. Just different fighting visuals.

Nothing implies mihawk has stronger or more advanced haki than shanks. Neither his black blade or eyes are indications of that. Especially when you look at Roger
