Why do you think Blackbeard’s bounty was as low as it was in comparison to cross guild’s bounty?


It’s not like 2.2 billion emperor Blackbeard himself was ever actually comparable to crocodile of all people in legit any way. It’s not like buggy or mihawk was significantly stronger either
If we go by the logic that crew’s boost bounty despite luffy and law’s post dressrosa and wano bounties it makes even less sense

Imo there’s no deeper reason other than bounty never reflect an accurate or 100% true representation of strength and danger. It just represents your known feats and achievements nothing more nothing less. Actually technically it could be lower when the world government wants to hide information like luffy beating Moria

  2. He definitely got a bounty post marineford tho probably not that big
    • Yeah he played a role in raiding impel down, killing an already dying whitebeard, and ate the quake fruit but I don’t think any of that would raise him too much
      • Especially after luffy only got 400 million for everything between sabaody and marineford
      • The highest bounty of the impel down recruits lowkey might have boosted him more than marineford. Kinda like Kuzan boosted him
  3. Assuming his bounty wasn’t already already higher than Marco’s 1.374 billion he probably got a boost from the grudge war
  4. The Rocky port incident was most likely the reason he had the 2.2 billion. With him getting credit for taking down Ochoku and taking Hachinosu as his base
  5. Kuzan being known as an official member boosting his bounty to 3.996 billion. With them scaling teach using the past admiral as reference. Imo the same way the would have scaled him had he defeated him

But yeah it’s not like any of them separately were comparable to Blackbeard overall or that cross guild was comparable to the Blackbeard Pirates. It’s just their bounties being based on information known or at least believed by the world government

When it comes crocodile at least (….mihawk too) they likely do get some extra boost in bounty from things like
  1. Being in an emperor crew
  2. Cross guild unlike other emperor crews going straight up against the marines and by default world government
  3. Maybe even a boost for being past ex warlords or because they were used as the model for the seraphim
    • I say that one because it would better explain Jinbe’s bounty too imo
  4. As for buggy crocodile but mainly mihawk raised his bounty and perceived strength plus leading an anti marine group

Teach is stronger than Mihawk
Oda giving Teach 2.2B for beating Ace, Marco, Wang Zhi, killing WB, beating Magellan and breaking out prisoners was a mistake
That's why he fixed it randomly to 3.996B

Mihawk got 3.59B for doing nothing much!
Just random stupid forced wank to please Zoro fans
Buggy having 3B is dumb. He should have capped at 2.5B

Even Kid and Law despite beating Linlin, shouldn't be having 3B!

Luffy got a 1.5 billion bounty for everything that happened at whole cake and was unofficially seen as the 5th emperor. He obviously wasn’t there yet but he was the closest

Blackbeard getting 2.2 for Hachinosu honestly really isn’t that bad and makes sense based on what we know

Using crocodile we definitely know that their bounties are a bit over boosted which also makes sense as to why it would be

Jump from 0 to his post Marineford, is likely the largest initial bounty.
Blackbeard likely got a bigger boost from the Grudge War than Rocky Port. Rocky Part being a split credit.
As far as the world knows, Law was the mastermind, and even Koby efforts benefited him.

Oda messed up
He started throwing big numbers to fill the gap he recreated between Yonko & newly Emperor BB, YCs/5th Emperor Luffy

He should have given BB 2.5B at least
Have YC range between 900M - 1.7B
Warlords range between 800M -1.8B with Mihawk having 2.4B max
Then Kuzan, Oden, Rayleigh, etc...These guys range between 2.5B-3.3B

When the strongest characters Blackbeard beat during the timeskip were Marco and Ochoku. Based on what he’s done his bounty really isn’t bad.
It didn’t represent his true strength or danger level because the world government could only base the on what they saw and knew about him

Why is buggy's bounty rounded up to 3.2 but crocodile and mihawk to 1.9 and 3.5

I have invested in bb for many years and I hope he does not disappoint me
And Bounty inflation doesn't matter, it's just Oda's nonsense advertising

Buggy’s bounty is high because he’s seen as crocodile and mihawk’s boss + the leader of cross guild a crew that goes directly against the marines (and by default world government)

As to why it’s lower than mihawk’s? Which I assume you care about more. It’s likely because mihawk is more infamous due to other
