I genuinely don't understand why the One Piece fandom is so excited about this. Every anime youtuber is saying this looks like the best live action anime adaption (a low bar to pass in the first place...) but One Piece really isn't live action material. Plus this is the same studio responsible for the Cowboy Bebop adaption... Yeah, the cast and director are fans of the source material, but Kevin Feige is a Marvel fan, and his movies suck. Liking the source material doesn't automatically make you competent.

Because their audience is purely made out of hardcore OP fans that love everything about it - so in order to make their viewers happy and not lose them, they need to hype everything up no matter how bad it is.
