She definitely wasn't too weak to join, but even without powerscaling, Carrot also had surprisingly good chemistry with the Straw Hats that felt well balanced, emotional and comedic, and her time on the crew allowed a lot more casual interactions between them not seen since before the timeskip.

Not like it matters now tho... Hopes are dashed.
