Not for their blood but at least one setback and that the raid on Onigashima doesn't work out. I want to see Kaido beating Luffy a second time before the third and final battle on the mainland.
This is one of the biggest casts of any war arc that I've ever read, if not the biggest. It's been a very ambitious and lengthy build up, that can only move the puzzle pieces using 16 pages a week.

So it might feel like the climax is near, but if you look at it from an overall perspective, the beginning phase hasn't even started yet. I believe Kaido/Linlin will most definitely trash the alliance to begin with, and I agree with you that it needs to happen. Because it'll start getting real interesting from that point, as every week it'll be a new arrival (Marines, Weevil, Grandfleet, Teach, etc..)

It's subjective, so it depends on your taste.

The series' intelligent narrative had me invested for the first half of the series, even if I wasn't very in tune with the characters. But that couldn't continue to hold my interest, I completely unplugged from most of the second half of the series. f you told me a year ago I wouldn't feel anything reading the last few chapter of TPN, I wouldn't have believed you.

The author came out and said that he intentionally cut out a lot of character work to keep the air of mystery as the focus. So I respect his decision, it just didn't work for me. The artwork was amazing through and through though, very unique for a SJ manga.
