Oh my bad then I did not indeed understand what you were saying. But neither Kaido nor Luffy were humiliated in this fight, they gave their all.

I'm just saying that Kaido was beating Luffy easily besides the initial gag and the final clash. Luffy got knocked out multiple times and even died. How is that not being humiliated.

He was far from beating Luffy easily. In fact if you are looking at the panel and their outlining at the end of the fight (before gear 5) you will see that Oda is showing an equality in term of treatment. Both are on "equal" foot. Even tho technically, Kaido took a lot more damages than Luffy.

He was far from beating Luffy easily. In fact if you are looking at the panel and their outlining at the end of the fight (before gear 5) you will see that Oda is showing an equality in term of treatment. Both are on "equal" foot. Even tho technically, Kaido took a lot more damages than Luffy.

Kaido didn't took more damage than Luffy because he wasn't knocked out once until the very end and specially didn't died. Kaido a week before that fight was able to go toe to toe with Big Mom for 3 days and was still on good conditions. This is poor excuse to try to justify Kaido as still being stronger than current Luffy and having Luffy as eternal underdog.

Like I said I'm judging the middle of their last battle. After the initial gags that G5 pulled on Kaido (like jumping rope, turning him into cartoon etc) and before the last clash. Pretty much from the point where Kaido hits a Boro Breath on him (Luffy was jumping rope) till the point of Bajrang Gun. It was Kaido dominance over G5 Luffy. In fact he dominated more than when Luffy was in base or G4.

What headcannon ? That Kaido is most likely tired from having facing 8 Kozuki samourai, his daughter that is most likely stronger than all of them combined, 2 right hand men and 3 of the most powerful pirate there is, all of this while keeping an island off the ground ?
